We're happy to announce we'll be added to the late night lineup at Camp Jam in the Pines this year at Buena Vista Campground. Camp Jam has been a local and regional beast in South Jersey for nearly the last decade. Come out and rage. Also, there's a waterslide. Just saying.
Our winter hibernation continues over here at Rinse, Repeat. HQ. We're busy writing new material and revisiting some old stuff so we can come back guns blazing in 2014. We're already working on booking shows for the Spring and we're excited to get back out and play tunes for you guys. Stay tuned for our show announcements on Twitter, Facebook, and our mailing list.
Happy New Year!
Rinse, Repeat. was formed in 2007 when guitarist Justin Strollo got a hold of Paul Agemian via the internet. Both recorded music in a small town in the Pinelands of NJ. Since then, a bassist(Ted Gorczynski), a second guitarist(Mike Gorczynski/Dave De Tata), a percussionist/flutist(Ken Ditmars) and finally a drummer(Jayme Rivel). Musical exploration has always been paramount for the group, and influences include Shpongle, Pink Floyd, Steve Vai, Ott, Porcupine Tree, world music, and many more. The overall sound has been referred to as “rocktronica”, and “space cadetism”. But labels are avoided if possible. You really just have to hear for yourself. Rinse, Repeat. has shared the stage with such notable acts as:
The Crystal Method, Ajja, Kilowatts, Infected Mushroom, Tommy Hamilton, Telesma, and many more. With driving rythyms, complex melodies, shredding guitars and booming basslines, Rinse, Repeat. is pushing the boundaries of live electronica.
Some memorable shows from past years: Liberty Bell Center for a Tesla birthday celebration, The Stone Pony, The Legendary Dobbs, Desiderata Festival, Mazfest, Playing before Consider the Source @ Evolve Festival.
Hi Res Images:
Second Album (Free Download):
Hot of the tail of last nights' show @ Hebe, we'd like to wish you all a safe and happy holiday season. We'll be writing some new tunes and getting ready for the 2014 season in our cozy studio. Don't forget to check out the store to download either of our albums. "Tunaverse" is name-your-price! I'll be updating the blog page here and cross-pollinating some great tunes from our friends on Soundcloud.
Keep warm, download some R,R. and make yourself some bangin vegetarian chili for the holidays.
Rinse, Repeat.'s Patented 5 Bean Vegetarian Chili:
Light Red Kidney Beans
Dark Red Kidney Beans
7 Cloves Garlic
28 oz Fire Roasted Tomatoes
Dash of Cumin and Paprika
2 Tablespoons of Flax Seed and Hemp Seed
Chili Powder to taste
1-2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
1/2 beer (I used Saranac's 125th Anniversary Decoction Concoction Lager)
Throw beans and chopped shallots and garlic into crockpot with Oil and Beer. Put it on low for A WHILE, drink half a beer.
Hot on the heels of our Shady Katie's debut, we've got another show in the pipeline this month. November 23rd we'll be out in Mount Holly once again with a newer trio called Sakima. We've played Hebe with these guys before and they destroyed the place. We're glad to be sharing the bill with them and look forward to seeing them more as a co-billing group. So if you're in the area, be sure to stop out in Mount Holly at the end of the month for great BBQ, BYOB and tunes. Usually our winters aren't very packed with shows. We like to settle in and try and write new music for the upcoming concert/festival season, so make sure to get out to this one freaks!
We're currently in the studio working on a remix of a "track" that Mr. Bill was kind enough to offer up to be remixed. It's admirable how forthcoming and generous he is with his material, so we're putting our twist on his tune Accidental IDM and we'll offer it up for download when it's complete. Stay tuned!
Here we are one day before our big night @ Evolvefest opening up for Consider the Source (incredible btw).
We've got a new site! dants.net will come tumbling down one of these days. We're still working out the kinks of the new system and it will be a few weeks before we really start promoting the site. In the meantime, have a look around!
